Your products in ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Meta: product feeds explained

When a customer asks an assistant for “a light rain jacket under €100”, the answer leans more and more on catalogues that merchants supply themselves. That catalogue is a product feed.

A feed is your catalogue in a channel’s format

A product feed is a file, kept up to date, that lists your products with their fields: name, description, price, price before a sale, availability, photo, brand, product page address. Each channel has its format and its required fields. A product missing one stays out.

The three channels

  • ChatGPT: OpenAI’s format for product discovery in its answers.
  • Google Merchant Center: the format Google’s surfaces read, AI Mode and Gemini among them, and which others take up.
  • Meta: the catalogue of Facebook and Instagram.

You register your shop once in each channel and give it the feed’s address; from then on it updates by itself.

Drawn from your public pages, without a connector

The usual connectors go through your shop’s admin, platform by platform. We read your public product pages, as a customer would, and draw the feed from them: it works whatever platform your shop runs on, with no access to your admin. The feed is written again each time we read your site; a product left out shows in your dashboard with what it lacks.

The sale stays with you

Our feeds are for being found, never for taking payment: they list your products for search and send people to your product page. The customer buys on your site, with your cart, your terms and your payment.

The plans that include them

Product feeds come with the Pro and Business plans. A feed is not everything: an assistant also reads your product pages, and our tools give it availability live.
